The Heart & Vascular Testing Center

The latest technology is available for diagnostic testing. Our skilled, professional staff works closely with your physician to provide a comprehensive approach to an accurate diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular testing from stress tests through peripheral vascular imaging.

ER- Rapid Bedside Heart Attack ID

Early identification and treatment can mean the difference in your survival and long term health following a cardiac event. If you experience chest pain - do not wait - get to an emergency room quickly. The emergency rooms at Ocala Regional and West Marion Community Hospital provide state-of-the-art technology and highly trained staff prepared to rapidly diagnose and treat cardiac emergencies. Both hospitals are using bedside technology in the emergency rooms to obtain measurments of markers that indicate the early heart muscle damage occurring in a heart attack. This technology provides rapid, definitive information that can play a critical role in the early diasnosis and treatment of a heart attack.

Heart Catheterization Laboratory

The Heart Catheterization Laboratory provides the latest technology and most skilled, professional staff available. Our staff includes Board Certified Interventional Cardiologists, specially trained Registered Nurses, and Registered Cardiovascular Technicians. Our Cath Lab is capable of many Cath procedures from coronary angioplasty through intracoronary brachy therapy.

Open Heart Surgery

Our highly skilled Open Heart Surgery Team works in a state-of-the-art surgical suite to offer a variety of treatment options. Post-operativey, patients are cared for in a dedicated intensive care unit and a dedicated step-down unit where the nursing and support staff provides their expertise for rapid recovery and your return home.

Our surgical options include:

  • Traditional open heart coronary
  • Bypass surgery
  • Endoscopic vein harvesting
  • Minimally invasive coronary bypass surgery

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Our Take Charge! Cardiac Rehab & Fitness Program is dedicated to assisting withb recovery from surgery or illnesses related to the heart. The Take Charge! program includes Registered Nurses, Exercise Physiologists and other professionals specially trained and experienced in cardiac rehabilitation. Under the direction of a physician, Take Charge! provides a structured exercise and education program designed to help patients obtain an optimal level of activity and fitness. This program also enhances the lifestyle changes needed to maintain optimal health in the future.
